About Our Yoga Program

YMT is an all levels Yoga studio offering classes 7 days a week. Each week our teachers create a new, unique sequence rather than sticking to one repetitive “method” which can often leave students stagnant in their practice over time. We offer a variety of styles for varying ability levels, modifications are given when appropriate and everyone is encouraged just to do the best they can. All classes are 1 hour. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Class Styles

Slow Flow: Our slow flow classes are welcoming to all levels from beginners to advanced yogis. During a slow flow class students can expect a combination of floor and standing postures that move relatively slower than our Vinyasa classes leaving time to settle into the poses and focus primarily on the breath. This style of yoga will leave yogis with a calming sensation of bliss with a good stretch! 60 min.

Vinyasa: Our Vinyasa classes are welcoming to all levels however some prior knowledge of yoga postures and their alignment will be beneficial, although not needed. All proper alignment cues will be given, as well as modifications throughout the entire hour class however Vinyasa style of yoga moves quicker from posture to posture, incorporates more strength, consist of primarily standing postures that flow into one another and usually will build to a peak pose or arm balance! 60 min.

Vin to Yin: Exactly how it sounds, 30 minutes of Vinyasa yoga, flowing through postures while connecting to the breath, followed by 30 minutes of Yin where we hold gentle postures for longer durations getting a nice, deep stretch. An even mix of flowing and slowing down.

Gentle: Our gentle yoga classes are ideal for beginners or those looking to relax and ease into various shapes at a considerably slower pace. Expect a relaxing combination of floor stretches, breath work and gentle standing postures where modifications are encouraged when appropriate. Gentle yoga offers a great opportunity to destress while getting a deep stretch! 60 min.

Bamboo Body: As life evolves so does our yoga practice. This class is a blend of yoga, movement and mobility all in one 75-90 minute class. Expect to start and finish on your yoga mat but also to move off the mat for much of the class. Our Movement perspective is based on the Ido Portal method and our mobility work will generally address the hips and shoulders. Beginners are welcomed however you should have some level of fitness or active movement routine of some kind already. If you are comfortable with our current Vinyasa classes you are fine to take this class. If you are unsure please reach out with any questions. 75 min.

  • Please arrive early or on time, especially if you are new to the studio. All new students must be registered prior to taking your first class which only takes a few minutes, but please don’t arrive right at the start of class if you are new. You can preregister via mind body or the website however it is still suggested you arrive early for your first class. Doors are locked apprx. 3 minutes after the start of class.

  • We have mats, blocks, straps and knee pads available in studio. Please wipe down all items after practice if you use any studio props. Wipes are also made available.

  • Classes are kept at room temperature, we are NOT a hot yoga studio.

  • Please use your best judgement and do not come to class if you are feeling sick.

  • We are a “beginner friendly” studio however please contact us first if you are unsure about your level of abilities. If you are currently in pain and/or not yet cleared by a doctor post surgery, you should first consult with your doctor prior to taking a yoga class. If you cannot manage getting up and down off the floor with ease, please contact us first to learn which class is appropriate at this time. Our classes are challenging, modifications are given and students are encouraged to just do the best they can.
